"Dad! He's not a bad guy! Just try to get to know him!" Mika yelled at her father. Zuko
raised an eyebrow, not looking up from the report he was reading at his desk. "Watch your tone, Mika," he growled warningly. "Uncle Sokka likes him, don't you?" Mika continued, looking to her mother's brother for support. Sokka looked up at his neice from his chair where he was sharpening the boomerang he was making for Kenia's birthday. "Uh-uh, don't drag me into this, I still have burns from the last time I tried to help you when you and your dad got into it." Mika rolled her eyes, clearly saying that he should've let her mother heal him, before turning to her other 'uncle' with wide eyes and a pout. "No," Aang said, not looking away from the bookshelf he was purusing. "But Uncle
Aang!" Mika said in a sniffly voice as she ran up to him and hugged
his waist. "I really like him. Maybe even love him." The three men exchanged looks before bursting
into laughter. "I mean it!" Mika shouted as she released Aang and clenched her flaming fists
by her sides. "Mika, you're only 15. You don't know what love is," Zuko chuckled. "Now, you're
mother and I said no boys until you're 16. Maybe next year, but not now." "But-" "NO!" The fire
in the hearth jumped with the fire lord's temper. Mika stood completly still , mouth forming into
a thin line as her eyes flashed. "I am so sick of this," she said slowly as the candles and fireplace
responded to her emotions, flames rising higher and higher. Zuko leaned back in his chair, a
bemused look on his face as he waited for the explosion that was bound to happen. But it didn't.
"Agni Kai at noon. You win, I'll wait a year. I win, I get to date now. No buts." With this the fire
princess spun on her heel and stormed out of her father's study, determination written all over her
face. "This'll be interesting," Zuko said, leaning foward to go back to work. "Uh, Zuko?" Aang
and Sokka said at the same time, but they were cut off by Katara bursting into the room. "ZUKO!!!
The fire lord's head snapped up, eyes wide. 'She can't bend fire. She bends water, not fire.' "What?"
"Do you have any idea where your son slept last night?" "Uh," Zuko said, desperatly trying to
come up with an answer that wouldn't get him in any more trouble than he was apparently
already in. "His room?" "NO! The training hall! He was up all night trying to figure out that water
bending move he didn't get yesterday!" "Oh, is that all?" Zuko said, visibly relaxing. Katara shook
her head in disbelief. "IS THAT ALL? I swear, that boy is just like you, only he's a water bender!"
Sokka chose this moment to speak up. "Kinda like Mia's just like Katara, only she's a fire bender?"
"What does Mika have to do with this?" Katara asked, wrinkling her nose in confusion at her
brother, not noticing the look of horror that was spreading across her husband's face. "Crap!"
Zuko muttered before jumping out of his chair and racing out the door, shouting, "Mika! Come
back! I changed my mind, you can date him!"
